This service does NOT require the tutors to create lesson plans, read books, or study external materials in preparation; they WILL review sample problems and class notes families send. They aren't creating or assessing homework but will help students better understand the material and its applications including providing sample practice problems in the session. Tutors do NOT do the homework for students but will help 5th to 12th grade students identify patterns of errors in their work to grow.

Some tutors may be available for 30-minute sessions for elementary school children in back-to-back sessions starting and ending on the hour. Families must utilize the full hour or cover the tutor's time if they prefer shorter sessions.
This category is for students who need to learn content and/or skills independent of or expanding upon their classroom schedule. It covers students lacking foundational skills in reading, writing, or math or assists advanced students in enrichment activities to keep them engaged or meeting milestones ahead of their class. The tutors will create lesson plans for these sessions with activities for practice, assign homework and review it, and check in with families to assess the student's progress.
Tutors are certified reading specialists (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, etc.) or language arts or special education teachers with several years of teaching experience for the relevant grade level and content. Each content tutor for Verbal, Math, and Science is paid for one hour to review the student's transcript, current classes, prior PSAT/PACT results, recent SAT/ACT results, and start to formulate lesson plans. Students MUST take a sample dSAT/ACT in the format they plan to pursue or provide results from a recent (within six weeks) sitting so we have a baseline. These sessions include discussions of and guidance on the college prep. process from creating and narrowing a list of schools to letters of recommendation, essay support, understanding how applications work, and more. They include summary session notes many times. (The advisor typically spends 15 to 25 minutes preparing for many sessions. You will work with an experienced, high education financial aid officer to understand your family's situation, the newest rules, types of aid, how to complete the FAFSA and/or CSS Profile, understanding loans and student debt load, and/or identifying relevant grants and scholarships. Please note that these advisors can walk you through how to complete the relevant forms but will not do them on your behalf.
This rate covers the tutor's preparation time and time with the client. The client is expected to provide a breakdown of topics they would like to discuss 24 to 48 hours in advance of the session. Clients who fail to do so understand that the tutor may not be optimally prepared to discuss how your professor is teaching the material.

Content covered under this category is not connected with a classroom. The tutor/instructor is expected to create and implement lesson plans or provide a Q & A type of assistance for the subject. Examples include learning a foreign language, learning a computer program or language, pursuing a passion project, becoming a stronger writer or public speaker, learning research methodology, etc. Your instructor will be an educational or industry expert. These sessions are personalized to meet the student's goals based upon their fluency levels when starting with us. The instructors are experienced ESL/TESOL faculty.
Hourly rates are per person - These rates do not apply to standardized test prep. such as SAT/ACT due to the personalized level of preparation needed following our system. If you want to explore a group arrangement, we will discuss pricing based upon number of participants, goals, time involved, and the level of preparation needed by the tutors.
Note: Small group sessions are only offered with at least 2 people attending. If only one person attends, that person will be given the option of a private session at the prices noted in the individual session section.

Our staff live across the country, so most of our services will remain online. However, in certain cases, in-person sessions are available. If the tutor travels to meet you, there is an additional fee of $15 for the session or the current per diem mileage charge in effect for distances more than 15 miles from the tutor's home/workplace. We do not have an office at this time and do encourage clients to use our online platform.
We endeavor to provide exceptional customer service, particularly when you contract us to research for your family recommendations on schools, create a Roadmap to College, or obtain answers to certain questions to streamline the educational process for you or your family.
Like most service-based industries, payment is due upon receipt of the requested product, which is noted in the invoice. We thank you for promptly making that payment as you would upon receiving the services of a doctor's office, restaurant, or mechanic. Unpaid invoices will accrue a weekly past due charge.
Payments for tutoring sessions are due 48 hours in advance. We reserve the right to cancel sessions not paid 24 hours in advance or to add a weekly charge for past due invoices as we remain responsible for paying our staff on time.
