Our approach to tutoring and professional development requires active participation on the part of the client with the foci on creating independence in and mastery of the learning process behind the material. Therefore, we emphasize the concepts and processes involved with an area rather than the specifics of an assignment in many cases. We use examples external to the assignment for practice and reinforcement so that you leave your session confident in your comprehension and application of the material you are studying and/or skill you are acquiring.

For our college prep. clients, we create a customized game plan to guide you through the process and can help with everything from tutoring to improve standardized test scores to deciding where to apply, optimally completing the application, filling out the FAFSA and/or CSS Profile, and college placement exam preparation or last-minute help if you don't place in a class that is the right fit.  We work as a team with our college prep. clients.  That team consists of experienced higher ed. faculty, admissions director, international student services director, financial aid consultant, and other administrators who can guide you through the process because we've been on the receiving end of applications for decades.
