We offer personalized, academic support with K to 12 educators. We are a fantastic option for summer reading and/or math packets, helping your child(ren) catch up on material from pandemic learning, or to position themselves to start the next year confident and prepared.
Our Instructors
The Differences
While we strongly believe that all of our instructors are superb, we know that each child and group of children is unique. Some children simply need a little extra guidance with their schoolwork while others need someone to help them interpret lessons and understand deeper applications of the material. In many cases, our instructors hold additional certifications that may be helpful for your child's learning style and challenges. We are always happy to discuss specifics and make recommendations. Qualifications
Our instructors are experienced (five to 40 years) classroom teachers who are certified in either public school systems or a Montessori setting. They often hold multiple certifications that may include Special Ed., Reading, Math, and/or ESL. Are reading specialists are trained in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Linda Mood Bell.
Costs
What expenses should I anticipate if we work with USA Tutors?
We are committed to being as upfront as possible about our services including pricing. Families should take into account the following:

- A monthly progress report fee equivalent to one hour of the tutor's hourly rate, per child, in which your child(ren)'s instructor will explain what they covered, any issues encountered, how they responded, and their game plan for the following month (This fee is optional for families on an occasional session arrangement but is mandatory for children in a long-term contract exceeding two hours a week.)
- Children engaged in a long-term arrangement focusing on reading often need books to read with the tutor. If the tutor is unable to access a free copy of the book online or through a local library for the duration of the discussion, we will pass on the exact cost of the purchase to the client. There will be no markup. Similarly, if the tutor needs to purchase access to a product for a series of worksheets, we pass on the exact charge to the client. These purchases will be cleared in advance with the parents. Books typically run $8-15 apiece while a subscription is an annual charge of no more than $40. When possible, our tutors will attempt to use free resources.
- Homeschooling: There is an additional preparation fee for homeschooling because instructors are responsible for the creation, presentation, and assessment of a curriculum. Please ask one of our representatives for more information.
USA Tutors does not charge additionally for any of the following: standard preparation time (see the exceptions above), use of our online platform, and/or securing a replacement instructor in case of illness or inability of an instructor to continue following the conclusion of a contract.
